“Swann’s Song” is out on itch.io for Windows PC and web. 

 You can also get it on Steam, for Windows PC. “Swann’s Song” is a short interactive story about a boy and an old man who are waiting for a swan’s song. Meanwhile, they talk about growing up, life expectations and regret. This project features hand-painted graphics by Federico Castillo, nominated for Best Poster at the Rome Prisma Independent Film Awards 2024. The story was written by Luis León, nominated for the Digital Moment Award at AMAZE Festival 2024 and the Opening Up category at the New Media Writing Prize 2025.

This is an interactive short story where the dialogue options are a way of exploring your own thoughts regarding the themes presented by the narrative. It does not feature multiple endings, and contains small writing sections. This is an interactive experience for people who are not in a hurry, and want to reflect upon life and its meaning. Picture it more as interactive theatre, I think that would be the best way to approach it.

This project was conceived way back in 2023, somewhere around July. The story had a first draft by December 2023. It wasn’t until now that we were able to finish it up. It was mostly due to timing and other projects that were being created along the way that we had to wait so long. We hope you enjoy the story and find it interesting and motivating. It comes from a deeply personal thought space about the fear of death and the passage of time.

This short story clocks around an hour or so. Could be more, could be less. Depends on your dialogue options and the small branches you go through. We would love to read your opinions on it and please share with us your favorite dialogues.
